The film Monty Python's wonderful world of gravity is an anthology of the best sketches from the first two seasons of the British comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus. Seven actors play a total of around 100 characters. The production of the film were relatively low with only about 80,000 pounds sterling.
The approximately 90-minute film shows more than 40 sketches from the famous Monty Python TV series. In the present in the original sketches of British laughter of spectators was removed and the film was directed primarily to the American public - there was the series never aired. As a running gag the speaker repeatedly used the words "And now for something completely different" ( "And now for something completely different), as a reconciliation of the individual sketches, from which derives the name of the original.
