Bowfinger is a comedy from 1999 that led to the Frank Oz directed.
The film producer Bobby Bowfinger has the big dream to make a successful film. From the manager of a film studio, he gets a promise that the film will be marketed. The only condition is that the movie star Kit Ramsey plays a role in it. Ramsey, however, declines to play in the film. Bowfinger but does not give up and developed a plan that provides that all the scenes are filmed with Kit Ramsey without his knowledge. His staff, he says that Ramsey has developed its own way of acting, when he does not want outside of the film shoots communicate with others. Lurking Bowfinger and his staff at Ramsey in different places, say their texts on film and then Ramsey's confused reactions acting with a hidden camera.
The plan seems to function smoothly. Ramsey without his own knowledge plays a role in Bowfinger movie, but the sudden appearance of actors Bowfinger misinterpreted. He believes that he is haunted by aliens who want to worsen his already battered mental Constitution. He then fled to the organization MindHead (a reference to Scientology), whose member he is. He can then close off to improve his mental condition.
With the disappearance of Ramsey's turn comes Bowfinger into trouble. To still be able to finish his film, he hired a man named Jiff, who looks very like Kit Ramsey. Jiff is indeed a nice person, but not quite clever. After a while, Bowfinger finds out eventually that Jiff is the brother of Kit Ramsey. By Jiff he wants to know the whereabouts of kit to then turn the end of the film to be.
Bowfinger is missing only the last scene of his film to be filmed on the grounds of an observatory. He manages to lure kit there and convince him that only he can defeat the aliens. However, employees of MindHead appear on the set and finish the recording. At this point, Bowfinger is convinced that he will never make it to shoot his own movie.
However, his cameraman was let after the abrupt end of the film shoots, the camera simply continue and Kit Ramsey filmed here, as he approaches as an exhibitionist with an inverted paper bag over his head to the Laker Girls (cheer squad).
Bowfinger shows the shots then the leaders of MindHead and threatening to publish the images if the film does not turn kit to an end. MindHead detects that the footage could destroy Kit Ramsey's career and convinced him to end the film.
When the film's premiere, and Bowfinger sees his name on the screen, he is still overwhelmed. Since the film has unexpected success, get Bowfinger soon after the offer, a martial arts film titled "Fake Purse Ninjas drehen" in which kits brother Jiff plays the leading role.
